A Day of Discovery: My First Photo Walk in Virginia Beach
Today marks a thrilling new solo adventure for me as I embark on my first photo walk in Virginia Beach! Armed with a brand new 4K camera, I was ready to capture every moment in perfect detail. However, life had a funny twist in store—turns out the camera was horrible, so I’ll be relying on one of my trusty Moto G 2025 phones. Not to worry, though; I’ve got more than one, so I’m still geared up for action!
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the spots I plan to visit during the walk:
1. The Oceanfront Boardwalk
The oceanfront boardwalk is a must-see! With its breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, lively atmosphere, and vibrant beachgoers, it’s the perfect location to begin my photographic journey. The golden sands and rhythmic waves will definitely provide some stunning shots.
2. Red Wing Park
Next on my list is Red Wing Park, a hidden gem hiding in plain sight. This park is filled with lush landscapes, serene ponds, and winding trails, all offering a contrast to the beach vibes. Can’t wait to capture the beauty of the natural scenery and maybe snap a few candid shots of local wildlife! Never been there!
3. Mt. Trashmore
How can I miss out on Mt. Trashmore? Another place that I've never been. This intriguing park, built on a mound of compacted trash, is an iconic site that’s rich in history. I’m eager to capture its unique landscape and the stunning views from the top. Plus, who doesn’t love a bit of unusual scenery?
4. Cape Henry Lighthouse
No visit to Virginia Beach is complete without stopping by the historic Cape Henry Lighthouse. The combination of history and stunning coastal views is bound to result in some fantastic photos. I’m looking forward to climbing up and capturing the lighthouse at various angles! This will be my first time at the lighthouse.
5. Lynnhaven Mall for a Light Snack
After all that exploring, I’ll be making a pit stop at Lynnhaven Mall for a little treat! Because, let’s be honest, what’s a photo walk without a few delicious snacks to keep the energy up?
