So, I usually keep it low-key and ditch the nightclubs. They ain't really my scene, truth be told. But tonight? I figured, why not switch it up? I rolled out to Kascades in Virginia Beach, a spot I never hit up before.

Got there, and they wanded me down (you know, the whole security check thing), then I dropped $10 for the cover. Stepped inside, and it was still kinda chill for 11 pm. The vibe wasn’t packed, but you could tell folks were starting to trickle in.

The music though? Yeah, it was straight throwbacks. Not really my jam, but I guess some people were feeling it. I pulled up to a table, tried to vibe with the atmosphere, and decided to whip out my phone to write this blog. Rather sit here and express myself than be bored out my mind, right?

Sitting here, just finished sipping on my non alcoholic drink, I’m just watching the crowd. People out here dancing to classics, smiling and laughing. If they’re enjoying it, good for them. But for me? I’m just passing the time, people-watching, reflecting on why I don’t do this more often.

Ain’t much more to say right now, just trying to find my groove in a place that feels a little foreign.
