Today marks an incredible milestone. I had the honor of attending my youngest son’s graduation ceremony from Lakeland High School, class of 2026. As I sat in the audience, I couldn’t help but reflect on the years that have flown by, the challenges overcome, and the countless memories created along the way.
Graduation is always a bittersweet event, a culmination of hard work and dedication, yet also a sign of change ahead. Three years ago, I celebrated a similar occasion as my oldest son graduated. Watching him cross that stage was a profound moment, filled with pride and nostalgia. Now, witnessing my youngest follow in his brother’s footsteps brings about a mixture of emotions. I feel immense pride for my son, who has worked diligently to reach this point, and a touch of sadness as I realize that this chapter of their lives is closing.

The ceremony itself was filled with joy, laughter, and a few tears shed by parents like me. As the graduates walked the stage, I was struck by the promise of their futures. Each one carries dreams, goals, and aspirations as they step into the world beyond high school. It’s a reminder of the importance of education and the doors it can open.
As a parent, seeing my children succeed has always been my greatest joy. I can only hope to guide them as they navigate the challenges ahead. For now, I will bask in the pride of today’s accomplishment and celebrate this significant step into a new and exciting chapter for my youngest son.
Congratulations to the Lakeland High School Class of 2026! The future is bright, and I am excited to see where this journey takes you.
