A Date to Remember: How a Dream Revealed the Dangers of Strangers

Last night, as I drifted off to sleep, I found myself immersed in a vivid dream about an unknown man that I had recently met. I had gone on a date with the man, and he appeared utterly captivated by me. His kindness was remarkable; he even proposed that I share a hotel room with him together, along with my dog. I accepted his offer, as it had been a long time since I had shared a hotel room with a man.

I met this man at a rather unusual event. I don't know what kind of event it was but it was a lot of people there. However, as I hopped in his car and started making my way to the hotel with him, everything took a dark turn when he was unexpectedly pulled over and arrested by the police. It turned out that he was wanted for murder. The officers examined his cellphone and uncovered that he was the serial killer they had been looking for.

They found chilling text messages sent to his accomplice in which he had been plotting to strangle me in the hotel room and dispose of my body afterward. It became clear that he had been planning to kill me all day long. Although I can't remember the city where this unsettling dream took place, it felt incredibly surreal. Despite his desperate attempts to talk his way out of the predicament, he was taken into custody. I was then warned to steer clear of strangers, and that’s when I jolted awake, feeling a wave of alarm wash over me.
