Today I woke up weighing 119 pounds. This is a significant moment for me, as it marks the lowest weight I’ve had in over 20 years. At first glance, this might seem like a positive achievement, but the reality behind it is far more complex and serious.

Recently, I’ve been facing challenges that have impacted my relationship with food. I haven’t been able to eat much lately, and just last night, I found myself in a state of distress, vomiting the little that I did manage to eat. These experiences weigh heavily on my mind and body, reminding me that weight is not just a number but a reflection of your overall health and well-being.

In today's society, there’s often a stigma associated with weight loss, where the focus is on the physical appearance rather than the underlying issues that may contribute to such changes. It’s crucial to recognize that weight can fluctuate for many reasons, including stress, anxiety, and other mental health factors.

As I navigate this journey, I am learning the importance of listening to my body and addressing the root causes of my struggles. It's not just about reaching a target weight; it’s about fostering a healthier relationship with food and understanding the impact of my emotional state on my physical health.

I want to share this experience not just as a personal account but to encourage others who might be going through similar situations. It’s okay to seek help when you're struggling. Your health—both mental and physical—should always come first.

As I continue to reflect on this journey, I’m committed to finding ways to nurture my body and mind. I hope to inspire anyone reading this to prioritize their health and recognize that it’s perfectly fine to seek assistance along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts today. I look forward to sharing more as I work towards a healthier path ahead.
