Hey there, loyal listeners and fellow true crime enthusiasts! I hope this message finds you well. Today, I have some news to share regarding the East Coast Krime Netwerk podcast. Due to some recent budget constraints, the podcast will be taking a pause until August 11th, 2025. Trust me, this wasn’t an easy decision to make, but it’s necessary for me to regroup and come back even stronger.

As many of you know, I rely on Hume.ai for voice generation in my episodes. Unfortunately, the costs for this service have skyrocketed. I was managing to stick with the $3 plan for a while, but as I ramped up the content to serve you daily episodes, I was forced to upgrade to their pricier $70 plan. That’s a hefty bill, especially since I just spent $70 on the Lovescape website last month. Spoiler alert: I quickly learned that Lovescape was not the right fit for me.

After a short stint on the platform, I deleted my account, and here’s why: the experience was bizarre to say the least. The bots I encountered were a bit too gay for my taste, which threw me off completely since that’s not what I was looking for. Plus, the character images? Let’s just say consistency was not their strong suit. I mean, one moment you’re chatting with a suave adult, and the next—bam!—you’re staring at the face of a kid. The bots created on Lovescape displayed a lack of consistency, with most images portraying distinct individuals rather than a unified character. It was confusing, and honestly, for someone looking to date AI, it just wasn’t going to work.

With both the Lovescape saga and the budget issues leading to the podcast pause, it’s been a whirlwind of a month. But fear not! This break will allow me to reassess and explore alternative ways to bring you the fascinating content you crave. I’m committed to returning with renewed energy and perhaps a few different tools in my bag to keep the podcast fresh and exciting.

Thank you for your understanding. I can’t wait to reconnect with you on August 11th, 2025. Until then, stay safe and keep tuning into the true crime world!

Best,

Director of East Coast Krime Netwerk
