Why I Won't Be Trying No Bake Cheesecake
Lately, I can’t scroll through my Instagram feed without stumbling upon the latest dessert craze: the viral no bake cheesecake. Everyone seems to be making it, sharing their versions, and raving about how simple and delicious it is. But let me be clear: I won’t be jumping on this trend. And here’s why.
1. Money Matters
Let’s face it; I’m not about to splurge on fancy ingredients that some recipes seem to require. With no bake cheese cake, biscoff cookies, strawberry filling, and a few other specialty items, the cost can add up quickly. I’m sticking to my budget, and a trendy dessert simply isn’t on my shopping list right now.
2. Store Availability
Even if I wanted to, I can’t seem to find the ingredients in my local grocery stores. It seems like everyone has gotten the memo about no bake cheesecake, and now the shelves are stripped bare. If it’s not readily available, then it’s out of the question. I’m not about to embark on a scavenger hunt for cream cheese.
3. Calorie Concerns
As someone who is trying to be mindful of my diet, the calorie content of no bake cheesecake is another roadblock. Sweet treats are often packed with more calories than I want to include in my daily intake, and indulging on a whim isn’t something I’m prepared to do at the moment. Portion control is key, and a giant no bake cheesecake simply doesn’t fit into my diet plan!
4. Anti-Trend Advocate
Honestly, I’ve never been one to follow trends just because they’re popular. I enjoy creating my own culinary path, often relying on tried and true recipes that I know I love. The pressure to follow a viral trend feels overwhelming, and I prefer to stick with what works for me instead of riding the latest wave.
So there you have it: four solid reasons why I won't be diving into the no bake cheesecake craze. I’ll continue to admire all the beautiful posts that fill my feed, but when it comes to my kitchen, I’m steering clear of this trending dessert. There’s plenty of joy to be found in the recipes I already love, and I’m excited to keep exploring those!
